Crew 422 - Storrs Mansfield, CT

  Welcome to Venture Crew 422!

Our mission is to serve Windham and Tolland Counties by performing conservation based and environment sustaining projects that benefit these communities.  Although our focus is to reduce, reuse, and recycle, our goal is to learn, teach others, and have fun while improving the world in which we live.

We have ongoing projects in the areas of invasive species control, resource recovery, hazardous material disposal and management, and forestry and range management; and we are planning activities involving energy conservation, soil and water conservation, fish and wildlife management, and air and water pollution control.

In addition, we regularly participate in Scouting and high adventure activities, e.g., backpacking, camping, bicycling, whitewater rafting, and climbing.

We welcome young men and women to join us, or become friends.  We meet the first and third Thursdays of every month at Hope Lutheran Church, in Storrs, CT.  Guests are always welcome.  For more information, please e-mail the unit leadership.

Please also visit us on our Connecticut River's Council for our calendar of events at web site:  www.ctrivers.org/Crew-422-StorrsMansfield-CT
