These are some of the basics of what
we believe:
The
"Good News" about Jesus is:
-
You're not perfect,
but that's okay. We humans have a natural separation
from the perfectness of God in that we have the imperfectness of
sin as a part of us.
-
Sin cannot exist in heaven and with
God. Sin separates us from God and leads to
death.
-
Jesus came and lived on earth
without sin. He faced death without sin as a "sacrifice" or
an "atonement" for every person that has ever lived with
sin.
-
All people have the path to the
"perfectness" of heaven opened up to them through Jesus'
conquering death and rising to New Life!
-
Through a relationship of faith in
Jesus...we too will conquer death and rise to life with our God
for all eternity! That is why we refer to Jesus as our
SAVIOR!
The Trinity
The Bible teaches us
this truth:
-
God the Father: the
Creator of all that exists.
-
God the Son: Jesus, who
came in the flesh in order to suffer and face death and to rise to
life... for the purpose of all mankind having the victory over
death afforded to them.
-
God the Holy Spirit:
Creates and builds up our faith and holiness within us.

more about the Trinity.
The Bible
We believe that the Bible is a
collection of writings that were inspired by God Himself. We
take our teachings, values and doctrines from the Bible
alone.

Lutheran
Teachings
There are three phrases that are
frequently used to summarize much of our Lutheran teachings
about our Christian faith:
Grace Alone. Even
though we don't deserve it, out of love, God has provided
the free gift of the path of forgiveness. We have the
gift of being "in right" with God (righteousness) through
believing in Jesus.
Faith Alone. It is
through a relationship of faith in Jesus as Savior that a
person has the gift of eternal life and forgiveness offered to
them.
Scripture Alone. The
Bible is the inspired Word of God and is without error.
We can trust in His Word, where Jesus is revealed as the
Savior of the World to
us.
